刊登「死前一瞬」 《紐約郵報》被罵翻

警方表示，受害者是五十八歲的韓基蘇（音譯，韓裔），住在紐約市皇后區，他三日在曼哈頓「時報廣場」地鐵站和一名精神失常男子爭執時被推下月台，他踉蹌起身試圖躲避進站列車不及，在眾目睽睽下活活被撞死，卡在列車和月台之間。警方已找到涉案男子，並予以拘押。
在《紐約郵報》刊登的照片中，受害男子韓基蘇轉頭看著進站的列車，想以雙手攀爬上月台，但無法及時脫身。照片是該報特約攝影師艾巴希所拍攝，他當時恰巧在月台上等車。
艾巴希在《紐約郵報》網站表示，他當時以照相機的閃光燈，警告列車長有人掉落在軌道上，他的力氣並不足以拉起受害者：「我想要救他，但我想不出任何辦法。一切發生得太快了。」
《紐約郵報》在官網的影音報導中似乎想暗示，報紙的照片是攝影記者救人心切之餘意外拍到的，但讀者並不買帳，立即嚴詞批判該報攝影記者和編輯對這起悲劇根本是麻木不仁。
