T: (Joking) Put away the books!
Don't you know it's summer vacation ?
P: (Looking up ) Hi , Tiffany . What are you doing here ?
T: Just getting some air. I know we've been out of school
for only a little while , but I'm already bored.
P: Really ? I feel like time's flying.
T: What have you been up to ?
P: I'm writing a story . It's something I've always wanted to try,
so I swore to myself that this would be the summer for it.
T: That's really exciting! How do you keep yourself going ,
though?
P: There's a writing contest that I want to enter in September.
I'm going to take the best story I write this summer and
enter it. The first prize is NT$10,000 !
T: Wow ! That's a pretty big motivation !
I wish I had something like that going on.
P: I 've seen you sketching at school .
Aren't you an artist ?
T: Those are just doodles.
P: Well, the contest has a category for illustrated books.
I'll write the story , and you can illustrate it .
T: Do you really think so ?
P: Sure! I mean, we'll have to work hard , but I bet we'll
have a great book by the time September rolls around.
